Ridiculousness!

Okay, so I found this article today about an Italian atheist who is suing a priest for spreading the “lies” of Jesus’ existance. While I totally disagree with his view point, I think his stated goal of getting people to question their beliefs is not bad. He is just going about it all wrong. If he somehow wins the lawsuit, “the church will be forced to use conditional language when writing about some faith-related issues for the public.” We should NEVER write about TRUTH as if it really wasn’t TRUTH at all!

“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, ‘If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.’ “
- John 8:31-32

Brokenness

God is breaking me of my selfishness! Last night on my way back from the church picnic with April, God revealed to me the ugliness of my heart. I have had a horrible attitude about studying these last days of the semester. Then I was reminded that “whatever you do, do all to the glory of God!” (1 Corinthians 10:31b) I clearly have not been glorifying God in my pathetic studying and complaining of studying. April and I went before God, and I confessed my own sinfulness and asked God to give me the grace to do this, and all things, to His glory.

Remember to pray for our friends at O-Week! Pray that God will be their comfort and joy, and that He will show them areas they need to give over to Him. Pray against anyone just trying to make it through the week. Ask God to use this time to bond the teams together in unity!

Finally Finals

It’s finally finals! I have four this time around: 1 today, 2 Tuesday, and 1 Wednesday. The two hardest are the first two, so that’s good. This is definitely my least favorite part of the semester, so I’ll be glad to be done. Don’t worry though; I’m already looking forward to another semester.
This summer I won’t be doing anything “special,” but I do hope to enjoy it. I’ll be in the Kansas/Oklahoma vicinity mid-July, so that should be a lot of fun. It’s been awhile since I’ve been back to my roots.
I’m taking a summer class for the first time since HS. It isn’t until the last week of summer, so I’ll still be able to enjoy my break. It should be a good class, and it will be nice to be 3 hours closer to graduation.
Sorry this post is so “blah.” I felt like I should probably update just to let everyone know what’s going on here. Let me know your summer plans so I can pray for you!
