Morning Tale
Posted in The Life of the Historian and tagged with Car on December 8, 2006This morning I woke up exactly at 5:00 am from a dream that I was running late on a trip to Indonesia. Don’t you just love my real life punctuality? No matter that I didn’t have to wake up until 5:30 today; I was able to rest for the last 30 minutes.
As April and I were leaving the gym this morning, I hit a large rut in the parking lot with my car as I was going 5 mph. The hole was so bad that it knocked part of my undercarriage-protector-thingy loose so that it could drag on the ground. Since I have a large amount of experience in the car repair industry, I set about duct taping it up until I could get it fixed. I apparently forgot that this was the coldest morning so far this year and duct tape doesn’t work in the cold, let alone on the dirty surface underneath my car. Fortunately I do know how to unscrew the bolts so that the panel could be removed completely.
At least my day was interesting before 8am! Since then, I’ve been focusing on studying. Happy Finals, everybody!
I’m excited about what’s going on in:
5 days…
7 days…
14 days…
17 days…
21 days…

Wow. The only thing I could think through the whole story was “didn’t have to wake until 5:30!! like am? People actually get up that early instead of going to sleep that late?”

I just felt like leaving another comment for no reason.
