Thanksgiving Dinner Rolls, Anyone?

I made it safe, on time, AND with my luggage. I beat the odds! Actually, other than the greater degree of stress in the eyes of my fellow travelers, it didn’t seem that much different. Oh, and the Wichita airport was busy. That was weird.

People watching was fun. There was a family from Alabama sitting behind me on the plan with two young girls. The dad was taking them home to see his family in Kansas, and he told them that it would be colder than they have ever felt. It certainly was…brrr! When the pilot told us it was gusty today, everyone laughed because Wichitans know to expect that. It’s ALWAYS windy here!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and best wishes for all the dinner preparations! I hope that your rolls turn out better than the ones we made last year, those black things on the ground in the picture. It wasn’t a big deal though, because we had a ton more…that we decided NOT to warm up on the broiler setting.

Of course that wasn’t my REAL Thanksgiving celebration, because I spent the holiday somewhere special last year. That just makes my time with my family now seem a little different, because it’s been 2 years since I’ve been here for Thanksgiving.

I hope you enjoy your time with your family! I hope to post tomorrow about what I am thankful for.
