What is NaBloPoMo Anyway?
Posted in Dusting the Historian's Library and tagged with Blogness on November 1, 2007As I was turning the page on my calendar this morning to November I thought, “Yes! It’s NaBloPoMo!” Actually I thought, “It’s NaBloPoMo, so I better change the calendar to reflect that.”
So what is NaBloPoMo, anyway? It is National Blog Posting Month, and is held in November. So, I have agreed to post here everyday for the next 30 days. Sounds impressive? It shouldn’t, because it is an alternative to NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. Yeah, I’m not even going to attempt that right now. Put that on my “50 things to do before I die” list.
I find it ironic that I’m starting this new writing project, as little as it may be, in the month I have 3 term papers due. The more writing I have to do, the more writing I want to do, but of the more fun bloggy type.
Also, there has been a request to put more pictures on my blog. This is difficult since the most picture-worthy people in my life are the children I get to spend time with, and I have a policy of not posting pictures of children without the appropriate permission, which I don’t plan on seeking. So instead, I’ll seek to occasionally add pictures of whatever else fascinating I can find. So for today, I’ll post a picture of me admiring North Carolina’s changing colors…from two years ago.

That sounds like a really fun idea. I don’t think I’ll participate – mostly because my readership has completely departed. I haven’t posted anything on my blog since June. Still, it’d probably be good for me to start writing again. I’ve spent far too much time acting and no time thinking (which is probably the best thing for me); but it’s still kinda weird.
On another note, your picture looks like you’re rolling your eyes.
Also, the verification word today is “illeg” – as in, your dreams are illeg.
