Kansas Snow?
Posted in Historical Adventures and tagged with Kansas, Oklahoma, Travel on December 28, 2007First, I’m delayed a whole day thanks to the whiteout in Wichita. Then, my bag is delayed two more days (I got it on Christmas!).
Finally, when it is time to head to Oklahoma for a fun weekend with friends, it starts to snow again. Here’s hoping that all the snow they have gotten in the last year provides them the necessary experience to get the roads cleared this time, fast.
I grew up here, and I can only remember one time where we got more than 4 inches of snow. I also don’t remember there ever being more than 3 or 4 snows in a season; 2 was pretty normal. However, this is the 3rd snow that I’ve experienced here this season…over a period of 11 total days. That doesn’t even include the big snow/ice storm they had a few weeks ago!
I’m still hoping on heading out today, so I’ll probably not post over the weekend. Have a good one, everybody!
