I’m posting this at this pre-dawn hour (at least I think it’s pre-dawn, maybe I need to check into that…okay I did, sunrise is officially at 5:58, so this isn’t pre-dawn at all) because I wanted to let you all know that I’m OUT OF HERE.

If all goes well, right now my plane is preparing for takeoff from the Raleigh airport to head to Calfornia. Okay, so the plane isn’t going to California, as far as I know, but it is going to Atlanta, the same Atlanta that I spend so much time in when I travel, particularly last Christmas. But once I’m in Atlanta, after grabbing a quick second breakfast (how else do you handle traveling across four time zones? it will only be 4:30 AM Pacific when I land in Atlanta), I’ll be heading to California.

After my 5-hour flight to California, I’ll be waiting around the airport for another 5 hours for my parents, brother, and brother’s girlfriend to arrive. Then I get to sit in the car for a couple of hours as we drive to our final destination. Woohoo! Look at all that reading time! That’s probably the 4th most exciting thing about the trip, the first three being seeing my family, seeing the giant redwoods, seeing Chinatown, and going to Six Flags. Okay, that’s four. You didn’t REALLY expect me to count correctly at this hour, did you?

At this time it is unknown when I will be online again. It is believed that our hotel will have Internet connection once we make it back to San Francisco (we’re going to Yosemite for a couple of days first). I’m sorry, but you’ll have to deal with pre-written posts for a few days until I make it back computer side. Even then, I don’t have a laptop to call my own, so I don’t anticipate getting long hours to feed my bloggy habit. Regardless, please leave me lots of messages to make me feel missed.

So, like a good Okie (though I’m far from being a good Okie, I only lived there 4 years), I’m heading to California! Talk to you again soon!
