The After Picture

Several weeks ago I posted the pictures of my old bedroom in my old apartment. It’s taken me a while to get the pics of the new room up since I felt no need to rush putting my room together. But, at long last, here they are!

First, notice how much more room I have in my room. I gained 66 square feet. Okay, so this isn’t the best shot to see that I’ve gained so much space, but you’ll see the teal colored bedspread with grape colored accents. No grapes harmed in the making of my room.

Here’s a closeup of one of my favorite parts of the room. I’m sorry that this is at a weird angle…the pictures don’t look so askew in real life. I found all the pictures on Etsy.

This is to the right of the bed. That door is to my bathroom. You can see what show I was watching when I took these pictures (Gilmore Girls). This is a better picture of how much room I have. Just in case you thought that I lived in a weird room with no exits, I’ll point out that the entrance is on the left here, just our of range. Guess what those two doors are? My TWO closets. They are both a good size too, so they contain two book cases, all my hanging clothes, my toy box (that I use for blankets), all my suitcases, and lots of closet stuff. It’s great to have so much closet space. And the other thing in the picture? That chair? Wouldn’t even fit in the other room. But in this room it not only fits, it has plenty of breathing room. I love to sit down in my chair in the evenings and read in my new chair.

The curtain color looks a little different since it’s daylight out. They’re great curtains as they block a lot of light. It makes it a little hard to wake up in the morning, but I’m not too fond of light and have even been called “vampire” on a few occasions.

So, what do you think? I love it!

  1. It just beautiful Ronnica! (and no pink in sight!). I love the flower photos and color scheme. Very warm and cozy. Nice you have a reading area too. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Looks so comfortable and inviting–just how I would imagine your room to be. Maybe one of these days I’ll post pictures of my house. I love every room in it, though sometimes I feel I live in the house that Crayola built.
