The Pivot Point
Posted in Once I Was a Kansas Girl on June 23, 2008I’m back. My regular schedule started back today, with the added bonus of helping out at Power Camp (a sports/fine arts camp that our church puts on…I don’t actual coach, but do some of the kid corralling) in the evenings. I’m actually excited for tonight, though I have no idea what I’m in for. Last year was a big eye-opening, dropping-to-my-knees overwhelming week, but oh so worth it. I’m expecting some more of the same this year. If you’re so inclined, I’d love some prayer for me, the other workers, and especially the kids. For many of them it will be the first chance they’ve had to hear the gospel, which we will be presenting throughout the week.
I missed all you bloggy buddies. While I still maintained my own blog by auto-posting and a few updates, I took a break from reading blogs, which is an important part of the blogging experience. It’ll take me a while to get caught up, but I’m in no hurry. That said, it was good to step away and get more time to read (I read 3 books on my trip).
I plan on giving a couple of posts to updating on the trip, but I want to include pictures and such so I’ll wait until they are uploaded and the dust in my brain has settled. It was a good trip, and I’ll leave it at that for now.
