It’s Only Taken 21 Years
Posted in Once I Was a Kansas Girl and tagged with Photos, School, Weather on November 21, 2008Yes, this is my second post today. I just had to share this with you.
I just left my last class of my entire schooling career. After 21 1/2 years of being a student, I no longer have to go to class. I almost got teary eyed when I was leaving town, but then I didn’t.
The 2 papers, 3 Sunday school lessons, 2 finals, and 1 presentation left keep me in check.
Regardless, attending class has always been my least favorite school activity, at least since I started college. And now it’s done.
You know the expression, “When hell freezes over?” Today seemed kinda like that. I don’t really use that expression (since I don’t think hell is a joking matter), but it is ironic that this is the scene that greeted me as I headed out to my car to go to class:
It snowed the entire time I was driving to class. This is the second time it’s snowed this week, though only the first time it’s stuck to anything at all. That just doesn’t happen in North Carolina, especially not in November!
But hey, today’s not just an ordinary day, is it?

Too funny! Congrats on this HUGE milestone. Of course, if you’re anything like me, I was ready to start taking classes (just for fun, of course) about a month after I finished my graduate degree!

OH wow. What a HUGE milestone for you to reach and I’m sure it DID cause you to become teary eyed. New seasons in life have the ability to do that.
Well, CONGRATULATIONS on having a new and fresh opportunity to explore what God has for you!

I told my husband, after I had read a bit of this post, about you and your last class. We both congratulate you. I also informed him that there will be Nachos and diet coke for game food tomorrow night!
And we will be a house divided as he pulls for Texas Tech and I pull for OU!

Congrats for making it almost to the end! We have about that snow lying tonight too! And it’s weird for us to have snow as well. Hope you can get all the rest of your work done in a timely manner! Nearly through!
