I’m Moved
Posted in Dusting the Historian's Library and tagged with Blogness on December 26, 2008I’ve hinted before, but now it’s time to make the move. No, I’m not moving to a new apartment, city, state, or country.
I’ve moved to a new blog.
The main reason for my switch is that I’ve simply outgrown the “Kansas Girl” moniker. I’m not really a Kansan (though I do still have strong roots in that state!), and I’m not really a girl, as I’ve passed every possible entry point into adulthood: 18, 21, college graduate, graduate school graduate, supporting myself…
Now that I’ve given the reason to drop “Tale of a Kansas Girl,” why “Ignorant Historian?” It’s from a subtitle on one of Jane Austen’s minor writings, “by a partial, prejudiced, and ignorant historian.” Yep, that’s me. We all kinda are, actually. I also feel like it pays proper tribute to my love of literature and history.
Please go ahead and update your links and readers so that you’ll be able to find me. There’ll actually be incentive to do this in a few days, but I know you want to go ahead and do it now because you want to read this, right? Right? Hello?
Please also updated your address books as my new email address is:
ronnica @ ignoranthistorian . com (without the spaces)
I hope you’ll all make the move with me! Also, big thanks to Courtney for helping to orchestrate my move and create my new design that is forthcoming! I suppose I could have waited to do the move until everything was perfect, but I was too excited to keep it to myself. If it wasn’t for wanting to hit 500 posts on Tale of a Kansas Girl before my move, I would have already moved. Be looking for a new design here soon…it’s cute!

So, I guess I’m stumped on the etiquette. Should I bring a casserole or something for a housewarming gift?
Anyway … Congratulations.

Congrats, Ronnica! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. Thanks for keeping the update about your traveling. Made me glad that we drove…even though it took us 6 hours with the new baby. :) Look forward to being back in NC and seeing everyone again.

What a nice new place. It’s smells all…new in here. Like a new car, only not.
Maybe that’s just all the new OPI I just bought. :P
Anyway, congrats on the move and I hope you had a Merry Christmas!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I am proud of you for taking the plunge. I will be by more next week to read and comment. I had a few minutes before we turned in and wanted to read a little since hadn’t visited you lately.
I am SO glad Christmas busy-ness is over. My heart has celebrated. My wallet mourns. Now I can start reading my blog buddies regularly again!!
Take care Ronnica.
