It’s My Birthday, But It’s All about YouYou
Posted in Once I Was a Kansas Girl and tagged with Birthday, Blogness, Me, Meme on December 15, 2008Today the Kansas girl herself turns 26. There’s something pleasant about an even-numbered birthday isn’t there? Or is that just me?
Remember last summer when I did a YouYou? A YouYou is the opposite of a MeMe; instead of a post about 7 things about me or whatever, it’s a post about you. All you have to do is comment on this post and I’ll tell you (in the comments):
1. What I’d buy you for Christmas if we were RL friends
2. What color you would dye your hair if you had the guts
3. Your favorite ice cream flavor
4. Your favorite store in the mall
See, wishing me “happy birthday” pays off! It doesn’t matter how well I know you, really. I’ll give it my best shot, regardless!

Happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday, dear Ronnica!!!!
Happy birthday to you!
I think you’re right about the even numbered birthdays; I’m odd as of yesterday for the year and it doesn’t seem quite as nice as having been even for the past year!
Hope you have a terrific birthday and all the best for the coming year!
December 15th, 2008 at 8:07 am

Happy Birthday!
Thanks for commenting on my blog :o)Yes, it’s cold and nasty and I would LOVE to move somewhere warm right now!! But I doubt I will ever leave.
Hope you have a great day :o)
December 15th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Wow, you hit three out of four!! Great job. Mint chocolate chip is my ALL TIME FAVORITE. My favorite color–Green. Don’t know if I would go so far as dying my hair that color though. Shutterfly—The best gift ever. JCP? naw, but good guess. I am really a Christopher and Banks or Macy’s girl. This was fun. I do not know that I could do as well with someone I have never met.
December 15th, 2008 at 2:54 pm

Very fun! I feel like you are working way too hard on Your day, though!
December 15th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
You are too good! This is really neat – I’ve never seen anyone do one of these before.
December 15th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
Well, I'll totally take the chauffer! Like I'd turn that one down. :)
Green stripes? Like a technicolor zebra huh? I can see it.
Sorry, but I hate cookies & cream ice cream. Plain old boring chocolate OR chocolate & peanut butter will make me happy.
I do like that store! Too bad I can't afford anything in it though.
Good times! I totally like this game!
December 15th, 2008 at 5:44 pm
Happy, Happy birthday, sweetie. And I totally get you – even numbered birthdays are the coolest!
December 15th, 2008 at 5:55 pm
Keep the party going! I won’t be around this evening as I’ll be partying (i.e. eating Chinese and playing games at home!) with a few of my RL buddies, but I’ll be posting answers tomorrow for anyone else who leaves a comment!

You're good!
Brenda:)

2. Just a couple highlights of pink.
3. Neapolitan
4. Kirkland’s

December 16th, 2008 at 2:41 pm
You’re spot on with #1-3. Unfortunately, we don’t have a Dillard’s out here. So I’d probably go for Yankee Candle as my favorite. This was a super fun idea to have you do this for all the people who comment!
And how did you know I love marshmallow in my ice cream? It’s my favorite ice cream topping or ingredient. Kind of scary!
December 16th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
Hmmm, let’s see…
check
check
check
check.
Yep, well that about covers it! Actually in high school I personally found Spencers to be the GREATEST store ever! lol
And the head shaving thing, yep… did that- partially. You may remember (or I really am getting old!!!!) the half shaven head with just long hair up top in a pony?
Oh my goodness I cannot believe I’m writing this on YOUR blog! lol
YOU’RE GOOD GIRL!!!!! lol
December 16th, 2008 at 10:34 pm
Look at you, with 47 comments! (Granted, a few of them are your own.) That’s got to be the best bday gift the bloggy world can give you!
December 16th, 2008 at 11:59 pm
These are very fun :) Happy birthday!
December 17th, 2008 at 1:21 am

Mrs. Mouthy:
1. Lots of comments by sending people your way (that’s hardly something I need to know you in RL for!).
2. A pretty teal stripe.
3. Peppermint ice cream
4. Pottery barn
Britni:

2. Blue (probably just a stripe or two).
3. Coldstone Very Berry with Sweet Cream
4. Ann Taylor Loft

Oh and HAPPY BDAY TO YOU!!!!!
December 18th, 2008 at 8:51 am
I’m not sure this was very difficult for you since I’ve posted about all of these things, but I still enjoyed! Nice job :)
December 19th, 2008 at 2:16 am
I would love to go black if I could do it temporarily. The last two years I have gone darker for the winter, but it was just the stuff that lasts 28 shampoos, and it was just brown.
I have a nav system, which helped me survive Kansas City. I say it’s saved our marriage. But a second one for the second car would definitely be nice ;)
The fried ice cream…I’m game! I had my first fried candy bar the other night. And liked it. So fried ice cream can’t be too far off.
What is Swoozie? Girly girl stuff? Then I would probably love it. Right now it’s got to be a toss up between a shoe store, Ann Taylor Loft and Gymboree. Although I don’t buy much from any of those because I’m cheap and don’t want to spend that kind of money.
December 1st, 2009 at 9:01 am
[...] know what we haven’t done in like, forever? A YouYou. I think it’s time to bring one back, don’t you [...]
