I loved the typo, so me. I decided not to point it out though, because I make enough of them myself. Glad you caught it.

LOL
There have been a couple times where I have had to go back and add 're. Eeek! I'm pretty sure I catch my mistakes. At least I hope I do!

ok...i totally agree. i like for things to be spelled correctly for sure. i am a little lax when it comes to pressing the shift key for caps though. obviously. (but i do think you made a mistake in your post...now it it? maybe it was to make a point, but it confused me!)

I am the spelling and grammar nazi. It's like nails on a chalkboard when I see mistakes. Having said that, I often go back looking at old posts of mine and discover typos. It kills me. I hate to think of someone thinking of me as a person who uses bad grammar. Which reminds me, when I left my job to be a mom, I sent out an email to ALL of my business contacts (hundreds of people) letting them know about my departure. After I clicked send, I looked at it one last time and noticed a misspelled word. I was mortified. My last correspondence professionally and I make a mistake.

Or maybe it wasN'T you'res...

I'm not sure I follow what your saying. Is it something about you're spelling? Or maybe it was you'res, but someone elses?

I have noticed I have slacked a great deal in making sure I follow rules. The way I see it, very few notice or care anymore. Shame on me! I know!!! I know!!!!!

Oh, dear ...

Ronnica, you have just made my day. My 9th grade English teacher swore to us (his class) that if we paid attention in class, we would experience physical pain when people dangled prepositions.

He was right, by the way.

I hate the way online communication has abandoned the rules of punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and everything else. I'm glad that there are still some others out there.

Hee, save this one up for your files for when you do have teenagers. It'll crack you up!

I'm friends on facebook with my kids' babysitter, and I actually emailed my husband in excitement when, in an online exchange with her friends, she correctly used the word "you're", not "your" or even worse, "ur" like her friends were writing. I now feel completely comfortable leaving our children in her care :)
