Target Giveaway, Anyone?

As you have probably figured out by now, I’m new here at Ignorant Historian.  Obviously, my library is filled with past volumes from Tale of a Kansas Girl, but the library itself is new.  So I need a little help.

One of the problems with changing blogs is losing your audience.  Now, if you’re here, you’ve made the transition with me, and I thank you.  But in order to make the transition complete, I need all eyes on me.  Oh wait, sorry, fell into my teacher-voice.  But I think what I’ve about to say will give you cause to pay attention.

I’m giving away a $50 Target gift card.  Yessiree.

You can receive entries by:

  • Commenting on this post.  Easy peasy.  I’d love for you to tell me one area you would like to grow in/improve in 2009.  Maybe a habit or hobby you’d like to add/subtract or a personal characteristic you’d like to grow in.
  • Updating your blogroll link to link to Ignorant Historian, not Tale of a Kansas Girl.  If you have already done it, good for you, and that counts, too.  If you never linked to me in the first place, you can link up to me now for this entry.
  • Update your reader to this blog if you haven’t already done so.  If I wasn’t in your reader before, add me now and that’ll count too.  If you already updated your reader, than let me know that and you get this entry, too.
  • Blog about this contest, with a link back here.

If you do/have done any of the last three options, leave a separate comment for each one.  I will be closing entries at 5 PM Eastern, Friday, January 9th.  This contest is open to anyone with access to a Target.

Thanks for updating your links to Ignorant Historian!

I’d already updated my Reader, but I appreciate the reminder to update my blogroll.

No need to enter me in the contest, though. I just wanted you to know that you can’t lose me THIS easily.

  5. Rodney Olsen Says:

I’d already updated my reader and the link on my blog. Now I’ve commented on this post. Unfortunately, I don’t think that Target in Australia is going to let me use a voucher from Target in the US. :(

All the best with your competition. I hope you get lots of links. (I’ll have to think of a way to get people to link to my blog sometime.)

  6. Theresa N Says:

I want to be at keeping up with my reading and crafts. And finding lots of new recipes…I’m so sick of my own cooking maybe some new recipes will help. :)

  9. Liz Says:

I would like to improve in the area of reading this year. I know it’s helpful to read 10 pages of theological reading a day, so I guess I’m shooting for that. I might actually break down by weeks how many books I’d like to read this year.

  10. Liz Says:

Thanks for the reminder on the blogroll. I had forgotten to change your link. Done!

  11. Liz Says:

I updated my feed reader immediately when you changed over. Didn’t want to miss a thing.

  12. Liz Says:

I posted your giveaway on my blog, too, which will also be fed into Twitter.

  13. Smoochiefrog Says:

  23. Evy Says:

So I have been following you since you moved. I am, however having a problem linking you on my blog. Do not know what is going wrong. Naturally I deleted your old address before I got your new one linked up. GRRRR. I will go blog and link you through my blog until I figure out why I cannot get it on my blogroll. So I hope I am entered too. I love contests.
Any way, Target is just five miles from me. One of my favorite stops when I go to Costco. They are on the same street.
Hope your trip to Texas via Oklahoma was a fun and safe one.

  24. Jacki Says:

As I told you before, I will follow you anywhere you land in the blogosphere. :-) I can’t wait to see your new layout.

  38. Brenda Says:

Hi Ronnica, I think I’ve done all of the above.
What I’d like to change for me this year is the 10 lbs still hanging around from last year! Seriously.
Last year brought many changes for me in several aspects of my life, so this year I’m praying that we’ll get on a more even keel and ‘forget those things that are behind, and press towards the mark…’
Not a challenge for my God!
    Happy New Year!

  39. Iva Says:
