Bloggy Cabin Fever

It’s official: I don’t know what to say.  Clearly, yesterday’s post was a lame attempt at something interesting (and I didn’t even have my notes to write the post properly).  What’s my problem?  Is it a bloggy version of cabin fever? (You know, growing up, I always thought “cabin fever” had something to do with Abe Lincoln…you know, log cabins?)

I know I’m not the only one in a bloggy slump as several of you have mentioned it as well.  What shall we do?

You know what I really want?  A Spring Break!  I know that there are things I won’t miss about being a student, but one thing I’ll definitely miss is Spring Break and the chance to change things up a little bit.  Sure, I’ve had to work through my breaks for the last several years, but they were still a break from normal.  I guess the grown-up version of Spring Break is vacation, but I’m not taking any until tax season is over because, hello, it’s too busy right now.  Ironic, huh?

I’m afraid this turned into a whiny post; I’m sorry.  I do want to break out of this bloggy funk…any ideas?

I get bloggy blocked about every 3 days, and you know it lasts sometimes for a week. Ugh! I wish I could keep up with your writing pace. You are SO disciplined, Ronnica. It’s okay with me if you haven’t got anything to say today.

I, too, am sort of in a funk. I know what I want to do and write about, but having more than 5 minutes alone at the computer? yeah, right!

Angey and I were talking about this yesterday! We both want to blog but want it to be meaningful and right now, we just don’t have anything really significant to blog about. Well you may not be able to take a real Spring Break right now…especially since it’s not even spring yet, but you can take a bloggy spring break ; )

It happens doesn’t it. I just don’t pressure myself to blog everyday. Who want to read about the load of laundry and letting the dog out kind of day. Some days are like that. ♥ Joy

I didn’t realize so many others were feeling the same way.
Well, I have several commentors who asked me personal questions that I look forward to answering. So there’s blog fodder for at least 5 more posts. Maybe by then I’ll get going again.
Hope you get over your ‘cabin fever’ soon! We really are interested in what you have to say!

You may appreciate this… I was running around the house like crazy trying to get things cleaned up before my husband gets home. It hit me all of a sudden “Oh shoot! I haven’t read Ronnica’s blog in A WHILE.” I dropped everything, pulled up here to the computer and now..

    Hello!

Sorry you are in a funk. YES! I have felt it too and struggled a bit with my posting lately (just haven’t known WHAT to post). I would have posted the questions that you asked me but ljsiru a ief fjmmmfnf. What? Oh OK, I LOST THEM. So I would love to play if you would re-ask. I remember 1-3 (mother of girls, mother of boy, and salvation experience just not how you worded them). I am SO sorry for the irresponsibility.

And when I get in a writing funk? I try to only sleep 3 or 4 hours one night. Sleep deprivation has always worked wonders for me and I think of more than I can get written down (before it is forgotten). Of course I crash pretty big at some point.

Going to read some more Ronnica posts now!!

Do a gratitude post! Take pictures of all the things you are grateful for! That’d be cool.

I like the idea of a gratitude post. In fact, what if all of us in bloggy slump mode write daily gratitude posts until the fog lifts? It’s an idea.

    1. be grateful to be employed and living indoors
    2. North Carolina is an amazing state with some incredible things to see and do – I’m not sure what part you’re in, but I could give you some suggestions
    3. You could get all your bloggy friends to vote for my sussex spaniel so she can be on a bissell vacuum cleaner box and so I can receive a much needed vacuum cleaner (I know, this one is completely shameless, but since I can stand the news these days, I’ve decided to focus on getting people to vote for my dog).

I wish I had advice. I get blocked about once a week. One thing that helps is that I’ll take a bunch of pictures and often one will inspire me. Good luck!

I’m feeling the same way and am now posting only once or twice a week. I used to do theme days and that would help fill space. I don’t feel like doing those very much though so I’m really just hoping that something funny would happen so I could blog funny again…
