A few randoms on this Monday morning:
1. The more I hang out with preteen girls, the more I realize that they’re not all that much different than me and my friends. We all love to sit around, laugh, talk about boys, watch movies, and eat junk food.
2. It’s amazing how much one little conversation can throw you off emotionally. And just when the pendulum about hit equilibrium…I guess I learned nothing from physics.
3. Stretching and working out definitely has taken away my back pain. If only I had known that earlier.
4. As far as I have come in my walk with God (and only that by His grace), I have so much farther to go.
5. I crave ice cream when it’s cold, but it’s more enjoyable when it’s warmer.
6. There’s so much suffering in this world, and I’ve seen almost none of it.
So true. Teenagers are just like us – just in younger bodies.
Amen to #2 & #4! I am so with you on those. I’ve had a messy week, but then again, I have a lot of those.
Ah.. teens! God bless you for being a good role model – they need all they can get!
Wish my 13 year old daughter could hang out with you.
As for #6. I agree. I often wonder why I was born on this dot on the planet. I’ve never experienced so far in my lifetime what most people experience in a few short years.

I don’t think I’ve been to your blog before. I came over because you commented on my blog…but I really like the eclectic feel of your blog.
Such thoughtful and delightful random notes.
#1 Makes me actually excited to see my girls hit pre teens since I’m all about movies and junk food!
#2 My pendulum is never at equalibrium either
#3 I have noticed that my hip pain that I’ve had for, oh, over a year has dissipated since starting to work out but my knee pain has come back…go figure.
#4 Me too! Isn’t that exciting? We have so much more room to grow and so much more of the Lord to experience!
#5 Me too again! mmmm, ice cream.
#6 How blessed you are! However, I think it’s in these times when one isn’t suffering that the Lord can use them to help bear the burdens of others. I’ve found that to be a privilage…and honor to be so involved with someone’s life that you are able to help, serve, and suffer with them through their trials.
Yeah. Ditto what you said. Did I just say “ditto”. Wow. Happy Monday!
Mmm, ice cream. It IS always good!
Isn’t it amazing what a little exercise can do for the body? :)
I cannot stop thinking about ice cream lately. I might just give in and have some soon lol!
