Blog Sparkle 600

Today’s post is number 600.  SIX HUNDRED.  What in the world have I said for the last 600 posts?

I feel like this spring I’ve lost a bit of my blog sparkle.  Perhaps I’ve pushed it by posting too much, perhaps I’ve let tax season get the best of me, perhaps reading fewer blogs and books has withdrawn creative catalysts from my life, or perhaps there’s really a limit on how much this talkative girl can say.

To wish me “happy 600 posts,” I would like you to help me come up with ideas to celebrate my 3rd blogiversary that’s coming up in a month and a half.  Any ideas?  Please? Someone?  Anyone?

“Creative catalyst.” Your vocabulary is awesome!

Maybe write about family, friends, and your writing?

  2. Three Bay B Chicks Says:

I agree. How about a little personal insight into you? Could we even go as far as a photo? (Gasp!)

Did you notice that something has been missing from your blog? It might have appeared around the time I stopped commenting? I’m sorry about all that. I took a little hiatus from the blogosphere, but I couldn’t stay away too long. After a break, I had to come by again and see what you’ve been up to.

    Glad that I did.

    Happy 600th post!!

Stopping over from SITS to say HI. Your site is so cute! Saw your mention of the 600th post in roll call. Congrats!

  4. Vicki Says:

    1. Give away a million dollars
    2. Or just a vacation to an exotic island
    3. Or just a Gift card (for $600 or 600 pennies or somewhere in between)
    4. Or highlight some of your favorite older posts that new readers will not have read

    Just a couple ideas!

  5. Jewel/Pink Ink Says:

    600? Yowza. That’s a lot.

You should do a giveaway…600 mg. of your favorite drink. :-)

I couldn’t even imagine 600 posts. Wow. 550 of my posts would be considered pretty boring, so you’ve gotten me beaten – by a mile :)

Congratulations on the 600 posts and your upcoming anniversary.

You’ve got over a month to look back at your previous posts. On your third anniversary how about creating a list that points to some of the posts from the past few years? You can highlight your favourite post, your most visited post, your longest post, your shortest post, the post which attracted the most discussion etc.

  13. The Rambler Says:

Wow! 600! That is a lot to say :)

    Congrats.

mmmmmm….thinking of an idea. thinking of an idea.

Will have to come back. How about that million dollar giveaway idea Vicki mentioned?

Thanks a bunch for visiting me on my SITS day!

WOO HOO! Happy 600 posts! You know, I have no idea how many I have done. I will have to check that out.

OK, three year blogiversary…. thinking…. you could have a blog party. Every commentor has to volunteer to bring something to the party (like I would say plates and napkins and describe them or something) … no, maybe not. Thinking again ….. Everyone has to write a random word. Then you have to write a story incoporating everyone’s word (I might say twinkle-lights). Thinking….. encourage your readers to make you laugh or smile by dropping a link to a YouTube video in the comments (I might link to the video “Validation”). I’m done now. :)

Take some time off :) We all need it every once in a while and a celebration sounds like a good time for it.

  17. Christy Says:

i’m suffering a bit of a blog slump myself….lack of comments, and so on. sigh….

you could take some time off (not that I am advocating that, I like reading your blog) but it is quite a milestone.

  18. Rachel Says:

aww!! happppy day to you! I am almost to 500 myself !

  19. Amber Says:

600? Dude I think I jut barely did my 200th! lol congrats girl! Keep talkin!

  22. WhatACard Says:

Okay, I had to think on this one :) First, congrats on 600, and on three years! Wow!

My suggestion, if you’re going to do a giveaway, I saw someone on the SITS giveaway carnival did a “I’ll donate to your favorite charity” giveaway. That was my absolute favorite giveaway of the day. I don’t know if a giveaway is what you want to do, though. A fun “collection of stuff about me” post would be fun, too!

    Congrats again :)
