1. The snow is melting nicely, though it’s C-O-L-D. Twenty degrees might have been a normal low when I lived in Kansas, but I’m certainly not used to it here! I’m looking forward to the spring weather we’re expecting this weekend…and Daylight Saving Time!
2. Over on the Book Nook, I’m giving away one book of the winner’s choice off a list of the Book Nook’s favorites. Stop by and enter in!
3. Has anyone else noticed Dunkin’ Donuts new slogan? It’s “You kin’ do it.” Kin’? Really? What is the apostrophe there for? What letter is missing at the end of the word “kin,” considering they changed the spelling of “can” to be…cutesy? I don’t care how you say it, the word is “can.”
4. This past weekend I did nothing productive in any sense of the word, except laundry. I don’t necessarily have to be as productive on my weekends as when I was a student, but I didn’t even do any reading or writing to speak of. Ugh. It’s definitely motivating me to have a plan for this coming weekend. There are books to read, people! I can’t just sit around and watch TV!
I, too, am SOOOO excited for spring weather…even though I don’t have any spring clothes…I have spring shoes of course. just no clothes. And you always do something productive on the weekends…Sunday school and AWANA! So unless you don’t do those two things you can’t say you were unproductive ;-) What’s the deal for Saturday? Where ya wanna go?
Enjoy your weekend – you kin’ do it!
TV is good sometimes.. I kin’ do that all day… LOL
The apostrophe definitely doesn’t belong there – that’s for sure. Are they tryin’ to get southern on us? They oughta keep tryin’ cuz it just ain’t workin’.
ROFL
I’m sooo ready for spring. Remind me of this when I start complaining of GA heat, k?
We don’t have Dunkin Donuts out here so I haven’t seen their ad.
I’m guessin it’s cause of the word DunKIN and they are continuin with the misspellin theme.
Who knows. :)
Just had to stop by and say Hi. Have been out of the loop for a while. Miss talking with everyone on a regular basis but I will be able to again soon.
I am so ready for Spring also. It cannot come soon enough for me.
Dunkin’ Donuts are the best tasting ever, much better than Tim Horton’s in Canada! Sorry Tim!!! Love your chili, but not your donuts! I don’t dunk my donuts, but some people are into dunking theirs. I don’t like the new advertising because it does not tell me how GREAT their donuts are! I ‘kin’ (2 apostrophes ’cause the dun is missing and the g, lol) live without donuts though and if I have one twice a year that’s lots!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m a little slow getting around. I would rather read any day then watch tv.
I have yet to see that commercial, but using words like that already irritates me!
It amazes me that some people actually ‘got it’…the means to the advertising, I mean.
Speaking as a transplanted southerner (read: Cali-girl-moved-GA-girl), Krispy Kreme would be the donut of choice. *ahem*
