Easter Blessings

I don’t normally do this-is-how-my-day-went kind of posts, but I just can’t help it.  Yesterday was the best Easter ever…except for, obviously, the first one.  Nothing can compare to that one.

First of all, Friday was the Good Friday Tenebrae (darkness) service.  Not fun, but beautiful, contemplative, and wonderful.  Then Saturday I both got a lot done and had fun.  I did a bit of shopping, cleaning, laundering (not money), cooking, and even sewing (one button…that’s enough).  I also watched a movie and had dinner with friends, thus the balance.

Finally, Sunday I had many good conversations with friends I don’t spend enough time with.  Good, encouraging conversations, ones that don’t drain me.  I’m an introvert, so it takes a certain type of conversation to energize rather than deplete me.  After an early afternoon of talking with my parents (I’ll be seeing them in 3 days!), reading, and watching Phil Mickelson try to come from behind (gotta love a lefty), I went to an Easter celebration with many from my care group family.  Just like family!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well…and remember, only 3 more days of the tax season!

You should do more posts that consist of the how-your-day-went variety. Inquiring minds want to know. =)

We did a Tenebrae service too. What was the title of yours? Ours was “Jesus, Light of the World,” and the general feedback we received from people was that it was very moving. I played piano, of course, and I was blessed just knowing the Lord was helping me play without any problems. (Lighting and page turns can be tricky.)

We watched the Master’s too! I love Phil. I think he’s great. Too bad he didn’t win as he was on a roll for a while. He’s Sam’s favorite too. I’m very surprised that you watch golf! I’m sorry we didn’t get to talk more yesterday. It was so busy!

I’ve rooted for Phil Mickelson for so many years now, probably since the first time I saw him, at least in part because he’s a lefty. I don’t really watch golf now, though.

Our Easter was lovely… quite possibly the best music we have heard in church, and if you knew the “normal” quality, that’s saying a lot!

Thank goodness I finally got my taxes in this weekend. I did them like a month ago but couldn’t e-file for some reason. It took me a month to print them out and mail them.

I’m so glad you had a great Easter! And there’s nothing wrong with “this is how my day went” posts…they are fun to read!

Whatever happened to your exercise accountability website? I check it out every once in awhile, and noticed not much activity has been on there.

So glad you had a great weekend and you get to see your mom and dad soon.
Three more days and the Tax Day Tea Parties start. I think we’re going to have a big one here. Hope they make a difference,

    Joy
