I completely agree with you...it was a despicably hypocritical and cowardly act. Not at all what Jesus would have done.

@Jacki: Yes, long after the public has moved on, two families will still be struggling with the consequences. We talk about how selfish it is to commit suicide, well, it's certainly selfish to commit murder, too.

@Elizabeth: Exactly! Here we were talking about how Achan's sin affected not only his entire family but the entire nation of Israel, and a RL example was happening as we spoke.

I agree. I read that article yesterday and was so saddened. We talked about consequences of sin in ABF yesterday and how many people suffer for one person's sin. This is a perfect example. How horrible that a life was taken and that the pro life movement will be greatly affected by this incident.

I agree. Doing things like this is 1. wrong, and 2. does not do anything for the pro-life movement. In fact, it does the opposite.

And now there are two families that have to bear the consequences.

@Wickle: Excellent idea to pray for his family. While what he did wasn't right, his life was taken from him and a great evil was done not only to him, but his family.

Well said, Ronnica.

One can't murder in support of the pro-life cause. I'm asking people to pray for his surviving family. I believe that that's a widow, four children, and ten grandchildren.

@Amanda: Exactly. I don't care what a man's done, one never has the right to murder him.

@WhatACard: Thanks. Though you must admit it certainly doesn't help the cause.

All: No one's death has shooken (okay, I think that's bad grammar) me up as much as his since Heath Ledger's. While this man's deeds could perhaps save a couple of lives, I doubt even that much as people will seek help elsewhere. Taking justice into your own hands is never okay. As I was telling a friend, this reminds me of the quote from American Outlaws when Jesse James decides to take matters into his own hands, "Whose justice, yours or God's?"

I am 100% anti-abortion. I am also 100% against those who are 100% pro choice. This does not solve anything. And worse, it makes those of us who are against abortion look like fanatics (lunatics - fill in the blank).
