Yes, I get that salary can be a pain if you’re overworked. Fortunately, I’ve worked at this company for 4 years, right alongside the head honcho, so I know what to expect. The work load is the same, I’ll just be better compensated for it.

I think 46 out of 60 books is a really good attempt on the books. It’s hard to predict how much you’ll be able to read. I know I wouldn’t be able to read that much.

I’m glad you received your raise…watch though. I was boss and on a salary once and the maintenance man (hourly) would many times make more than I did.
I will be expecting one of those letters. It is so good to set goals…better when they are achieved. Keep up the good work. I am looking forward to your novel.

Congratulations on going full time! Salary stinks if you have to work longer than your ‘shift’ but the Man Beast tells me that everyone does more work than they are ‘supposed’ to do in order to make their job easier. Getting paid for time off…woo hoo…that is fabulous!

Don’t get too excited about salary! It CAN be overrated. they can pretty much work you to death and you may actually be getting paid less than what you would have been making hourly. Stand your ground :-)
