Thanks for the help yesterday (if you haven’t checked it out, I recommend/ask/beg you to do so now!). Unfortunately for blogging, I’m still mulling over the same things, but perhaps not so intensely. I have decided that I am going to try to do it if at all possible, but I won’t be able to make that decision until I know better how life is under my budget. *cough* student loans *cough* Hopefully in a couple of months I’ll be able to think better on this matter as well.
You know what I’m excited for? (And it has nothing to do with the fact that I’m likely taking 3 out-of-country and 4 in-country trips in the next year.) Football season! Who’s with me?
Football season is probably my favorite thing about the fall (especially that I’m now not a student). And don’t be fooled…when I’m talking about football, I’m only talking about college football. I’ve yet to develop an interest in fully grown men going at it like boys.
Besides, one day when I marry, I figure I have to allow my husband’s team preferences to influence mine. Since I won’t budge on the college football (I’m all Oklahoma Sooners!), I at least can root for his pro football team.
Would I turn down a marriage proposal from a Texas or a Florida fan? Who knows… You know how I feel about orange teams!
I love the Fall, too, specifically for the football, the apples and the holidays! And as for Europe, Italy is the best! Anywhere you go, it’s just like stepping into a painting. Florence is my favorite, and the Tuscan countryside can’t be beat. Anything Frommers…in book form on online…will help you out, and if you’re looking at specific hotels, Trip Advisor (online) is really helpful. I’m dropping by from SITS…Happy Tuesday!
I like the game of football, and I follow my alma mater, but we aren’t a major football family.
well…I only became an OU football fan because you know who went to school there…and then KU when someone else went there. Really not a sports person except at the Olympics. Now, what am I to do…watched the Broncos football team (for those unknowning…Denver) because Mike, the coach, looked just like my dear friend…now he is gone. What is a “mature person” to do???
Aw, sorry I’m not a football fan at all. My father is, and he played in college – although not Division I.
I played Softball in college and I’m a baseball fan, myself.
Secret of the summer: I truly hate football. Don’t tell your brother, especially since he dropped a couple hundred on season tix to KU for us. Suffice it to say, I’ll be bringing a book, but I hope that I won’t need it.
i love fall for apples and leaves and sweaters. i love fall despite all the football that happens then. sorry, but i am not a fan, thank the spirits that i married someone with as much interest in sports as me!!
I’m with you! NCAA football all the way, NFL bores me. I’m a Pac-10 girl myself, and a hearty QUACK QUACK of love for my Oregon Ducks :D
Aunt Julie: Thanks for the help. I just needed some jumping off place!
G. Zoe: I never knew why you liked the Broncos!
Amanda: That just makes me laugh…
Valentine: That’s good for you. I don’t know that I could marry someone who didn’t like sports as much as I do…it would just seem backwards!
Chere: You did not just say that! You know what my mind automatically thinks of, right? That bogus game when the refs let you all win! I mean, I don’t blame you or any other ducks, but that was just messed up! And can you have a talk to your team about appropriate uniforms that don’t make someone want to gag when they see them?
I *love* football season – both college and pro. Although, I’m a Penn State fan. Sorry, but my Nittany Lions NEED me.
I’m so ready for fall. I’m a baseball girl but fall is my fave season.
teaching is an amazing gift – and it is something the world is desperate for. I’m sure you will continue to be used and you will do great things~
San Dimas High School Football rules! You might be too young to appreciate that ;)
