Friday Updates

I’m still definitely leaning towards going to Europe in the summer.  Everyone: family, boss, you all is saying “go for it!”  There are still some possible reasons why it’s not a good idea, but for now I’m going to assume I’m going unless it’s clear I shouldn’t.  That said, since everyone is all for it, I’ll let them pay for it!  Kidding…unless, ya know, you have money you just don’t know how to spend and I can help you out by letting you spend it on me.

Still haven’t killed my flowers, and they’re as pretty as ever.  I’ll have to figure out what I want to plant next year…I have a whole lot more options as I’ll be in a townhouse (99% sure on that one).

So far I’ve lost 3 pounds and have already gotten compliments on it.  What’s better, is that I’m feeling skinnier, as I seem to be loosing it around my middle.  I tell ya…I think it’s the increased water intake as that’s the biggest change I’ve made thus far.

This weekend I’m helping a friend move into her new home and I’m super excited for her (it’s also the aforementioned townhouse).  It’s just perfect for her and I can’t wait to hang out with her there!

I realized that it has been 2 years since the fire when a friend mentioned her second anniversary (the fire was 2 days before her wedding…and yes, I made sure she wouldn’t find out about it until afterwards).  It really feels like it was forever ago.

Wow. I was really behind on reading your blog.

YAY for Europe! YAY for losing 3 pounds! YAY for a green thumb! I love reading good news.

I’m going to have to second what the previous commenter said: yay for good news!

You’re going to float in your bridesmaid/maid of honor dress!

YAY for three pounds! Well, yay for all of it. Three pounds in two weeks? That’s healthy! I am going to try and not really count on my scales until I go back to the doctor in early October since I don’t think they’re that accurate. I can figure out how much I’ve lost I suppose, but not really how much I weigh.

Good for you, FGD…Won’t know you at Thanksgiving…

I always encourage people to get away. That would be such an amazing trip:) Congrats on the 3 pounds. Amazing how just 3 can make your clothes fit a little better and your face looks a little thinner:) I have to get back on track soon!!

  6. Carrie Says:

WOW! Going to Europe would be a BLAST! Congrats, too, on those lost 3 lbs! That’s AWESOME!!!!!!!

  7. Rebecca Jo Says:

What a good friend – to not only help, but to be EXCITED about helping move!!!

And go girl – 3 lbs!!! It can make a difference! I so badly need to take in more water!!!

I find that if you are meant to do something then there will usually be signs pointing to it, or things preventing you from going if you aren’t meant to go. It’s all about destiny I think and where your journey is supposed to go and how you get there.

  9. Robynn's Ravings Says:

Good for you for doing healthy things for your body! My body is wishing EVERYthing I did was healthy but I’m working on it. And you are young. If you see God opening doors, GO TO EUROPE!! I have NEVER regretted any travel I’ve ever done and that’s the truth.

Amanda: I hope not! I’m going to make sure that I’m not losing too quickly for that reason. Though based on previous experience, I don’t lose, umm, up top, so that the most important place for it to remain fitted! I’m still not down to what I likely weighed when I bought it, so I think I’ll likely be fine.

Elizabeth: Healthy, but faster than what I’m used to! I have to watch it because I still need to fit the dress for my brother’s wedding in January.

    G. Zoe: I doubt that! I won’t have lost that much by then, likely.

Rebecca Jo: I really am excited for her. I told her I could get off work early today to help out, and she’s going to take me to pick out ceiling fans. I always enjoy shopping when it’s someone else’s money!

Sean: I don’t really buy into the “destiny” thing, but I’ve asked God to make it clear to me that I’m not to go if I’m not to.

Robynn: I’ve never regretted it either. I really think that I’m going to be able to go, especially when my boss didn’t flinch when I mentioned it. This’ll be my first time going “on my own” not that I’m going by myself, but I’m going without a group. It’ll be good practice because I’m thinking of traveling more on my own.

It’s always great to watch the pounds drop, but it’s even better when you FEEL good. Keep up the good work hun!

Hi Ronnica! I just found your blog, nice writing.
I couldn’t help but recommend a trip to Iceland in case you haven’t decided on a destination yet. If it’s Italy, I think you’re going to love it.

Good for You on the 3 pounds. I’m working a few myself.
I’m doing my eat-stop-eat. I’ve seen a little bit of change with it.
I hope your trip works out. You are great at setting goals and accomplishing them.

Definitely go to Europe! Those trips will provide you with so many memories. And YAY on 3 pounds! A friend of mine lost 20 pounds (over the course of a year or so) with the only real change being that he drank tons of water. Although I suspect drinking all that water probably meant a few less sugary drinks and probably also filled him up a little so he didn’t eat quite as much, but still! Good for you!

  16. Melissa B. Says:

Europe defintely sounds like a plan. But don’t plan to lose any weight when you get over there…especially in Italy! Good for you for keeping on the exercise/water regimen. I need to start walking more, for sure!
