These boxes are just a few of the ones that I’ve already packed in anticipation of next week. (And yes, I’ve taken it upon myself to do most of the packing because I don’t want us hauling a bunch of junk to the new place!)
Right now, probably the thing I’m most excited for is our organization’s move next week. One week from today, I’ll be enjoying (or at least as much as anyone can) a commute cut by 5-10 minutes.
I haven’t seen the new place, but I know that I’m going to like it better. Not only is it a shorter commute, I’ll have an office the size of the one I’m in now (that I share with 2 others) to myself. Well, and our tax volunteers, come tax season. I think that the new place will be better suited to our needs.
Sorry for the boring post, but this is what I’ve been thinking about lately!
=) Congratulations! ANY cut in a commute is a GOOD thing!
Shorter commute times are nice. More space is also nice but are you going to get lonely when you are used to sharing space with others?
Carrie: I know! And then when I move in with my friend, it’ll get cut another 5-10 minutes. It quite possibly may get down under 15 MINUTES…crazy!
Ashley: Oh dear, you don’t know me at all. That’s okay, we’re still new friends. I could be left alone for days without feeling lonely…all my friends call me a hermit. That said, I won’t be left alone. Before when we had a larger space, my boss would come by to talk to me 4-5 times a day, so I’m sure that’ll continue.
That is great you will have your own space in the new office. What are you going to do with that extra 15 minutes a day? (blog I’m sure haha)
Have a great weekend.

I think it’s a cool post. Anticipation!!! Have fun and enjoy the shorter commute!
My old work commute was 5 minutes. Good and bad…I often wished for a little extra time to play the radio loud and decompress! But it was great not having to get up early just to make the drive! Enjoy your new digs. :o)
I always do my own packing, too. Just can’t trust others with all my “stuff,” ya know?
That’s not boring at all. I’m glad you are excited about the move!
Joy: Well, part of the time will just go to actually being at work on time! It’ll be nice to be home BEFORE 6 rather than just after.
Cheryl: If anything will throw me off, it’ll be the time to eat breakfast. I think a 15-20 minutes commute is just about perfect, though.
