Sadly, I have to have a lot of time in one interval to read, otherwise, I forget what happened and have to start over. I envy those who can read and do other things at the same time.

Ugh, I'm the same way and sometimes, it drives me nuts! Like the note on the back of our work bathroom door that says to not flush tampons or other things down the toilet because it will clog. Every time I pee, I read it. I know it by heart!

Omg you're my long lost twin! Seriously, I do that... I was reading the back of a ziplock box today and was worried the girl that it belonged to was going to move it before I was done reading. Lol.

Veronica: That's why I carry a book with me EVERYWHERE.

Katie: Have you ever watched Forget Paris? The father-in-law reads EVERYTHING aloud...hilarious.

Jacki, OneMom: Another support of my theory that readers raise readers. A friend once asked me what I'd do if one of my children didn't like to read...I can't imagine that. Anyone can be a reader, the difference is in what they prefer to read.

Since I was a little kid, I have always read anything with words on it. Cereal boxes, shampoo bottles, newspapers, anything in front of me.

My 7 year old daughter is now the same way. If it has words, she has to read it.

I'm the same way as well. Food products, warnings, billboards and road signs(which I read frontwards AND backwards), copyright information...

The worst is the packets that come with prescribed medication. I'm terrified to take any medication because I actually read all the possible side effects. Then, if I do take the medication, I'm on constant alert because I've read the signs to watch for that indicate your body isn't handling the medication.

You know, I could have totally written this post! I have to read everything around me! I get twitchy if I have to go too long without reading something, it's almost like a drug withdrawal. I mean, I even take my book with me to the bus stop while waiting for Emma to get off, even though the bus stop is right across the street from our house.

Yes, I am the crazy lady reading a book in someone else's driveway. :-)

I also read while watching TV, read while taking a bath, read while cooking...you get the idea.

Emma is getting to be the same way. Even though she can't read independently yet, she will still grab a book when we go in the car somewhere, and she also takes one to look at on the bus to/from school.
