Day 9: Traveling Home

Today’s our long day traveling home, as we’ll be getting to the airport around 5:30 our time (10:30 PM Friday night for you on the East Coast) and will be home in Raleigh around 9:30 PM Saturday, which puts us traveling basically 24 hours once you add in grabbing bags and drive time.  Actually, it’s not a bad way to go, because you don’t really have to stay up once you get home (though I never really can go to sleep right away, either.  When I came back from Turkey the first time, I was basically up 48 hours straight with only a couple short naps on the plane…and I still got on the computer for a while when I got home), helping you to get a more normal night’s rest since you’re exhausted.

* Pray for smooth travel, and that we’ll handle any bumps in the road with grace.

* Continue to pray for opportunities to speak truth to those around us.

* Pray that God will soften our hearts.

Thank you for your prayers…we couldn’t do it without being sent!  I look forward to sharing more about what God has done on the blog or when I see you!  I hope you all had a great week, too!

Julie: I always feel for those traveling with children. Adults handle it poorly enough, I can’t imagine how kids take it since they don’t even understand it!

Jennifer: I actually said that when we were flying somewhere over Europe. The first part of our trip seemed to drag on, but the last bit seemed to pick up speed.
