She asked me what I wanted her to do about it and all I could say was "I'm just calling to tell you because you're my mommy and you can make it better." So glad you're feeling better though and are enjoying working and being at home. I remember my brother and I fought like cats and dogs until I left for college. Then we suddenly became tolerable to each other. Now we're close and enjoy each other's company. Absence makes the heart grow fonder in this instance! Agreed! She's not quick with it - because over the phone just doesn't stir up her sympathy juices. Usually she'll fake it for me to get me off the phone!! (I think it changes once your kid is over 30!!) I have learned to call my friend Kimberly instead. She gives me all the gooey sympathy I want. I too, call my mom for sympathy when I’m sick.
