Dead Flowers

New flowers
These are the flowers that are now on our porch. I have two identical planters, one on the left, and one on the right.

The Bigger Picture
This is the bigger picture of what I see when I gaze off the porch. As many jokes as have been made about me hating trees, I really do enjoy this view of the woods (disguising the other apartment complex a couple hundred feet on the other side). And yes, the plant peed a little. Can’t take it anywhere without it having an accident…

So pretty!
What’s a Single Girl to Do?
Posted in Solo Historian on 02/14/2007 06:55 am by RonnicaI love Valentine’s Day. It’s all pink, and chock-full of cards, and flowery, and overflowing in chocolate, and packed with hearts, and just plain girly. Sure, I’m single. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be a full-fledged participant in this holiday!
For the last several years, I have made it a plan to send valentines to my single friends. I know that there are many who find this day entirely depressing and it heightens their longing for a man to show them love. I’m so glad that that’s not what being single is all about!
I’m not saying that every single girl should look forward to this day as much as I do, but it is a special opportunity to reflect on the greatest love gift we’ve ever received: new life through Jesus’ work on the cross.
May God show you anew His love for you! Happy Valentine’s Day!
